Red Bull's Verstappen tops practice session at Chinese Grand Prix
Shanghai, April 7: Red Bull's Max Verstappen clocked the quickest time in the opening session of the Chinese Grand Prix here on Friday.
The Dutch racer clocked a lap time of 1:50.491 at the practice session that was marred by poor visibility owing to rain and fog, reports Efe.
Mercedes drivers Felipe Massa from Brazil and Canadian Lance Stroll completed the top three spots, clocking 1:52.507.
Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and Raikkonen (Ferrari) failed to set a lap time in the session that was finally suspended owing to poor weather.
Spain's Carlos Sainz (Toro Rosso-Renault) and Fernando Alonso (McLaren-Honda) were fourth and seventh respectively.
