Serbia play draw with Wales in World Cup qualifier
Belgrade, June 12 : Serbia played a 1-1 draw with Wales in Group D of the 2018 football World Cup European qualifiers at the Rajko Mitic Stadium here.
Welsh forward Aaron Ramsey on Sunday scored from penalty in 35th minute, while Serbian Aleksandar Mitrovic equalised in 73rd minute, reports Xinhua news agency.
Serbia are now at the helm of Group D on goal difference while Ireland are on second with 12 points from six matches. Wales are on third with eight points.
The quadrennial international football tournament will take place in June next year in Russia, with 31 teams that will need to go through the qualifications and Russia that will automatically qualify as the host.
