Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service resumes
Srinagar, Aug 7: The bus service between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad in the divided Jammu and Kashmir resumed on Monday, with 116 passengers leaving from here.
"Of these, 110 are returning to Muzaffarabad after visiting their relatives in Kashmir while six passengers from Jammu and Kashmir are going across the LoC to meet their relatives," an official said.
Trade across the Line of Control (LoC) will re-start on Tuesday, officials said.
The cross-LoC trade was suspended following the seizure of 66 kg of heroin from a vehicle that crossed into the Kashmir Valley from Chakote near Muzaffarabad on July 21. The driver was arrested.
