Madhukar Gupta appointed as CEC of Rajasthan

Jaipur, Aug 13

Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra on Saturday issued an order appointing retired IAS officer Madhukar Gupta as the Chief Election Commissioner for the desert state.

Gupta has been appointed for a period of five years or 65 years of age, whichever comes earlier. The 1985 batch IAS officer had retired in September 2020.
