Indian Cultural Association of North America organized a beautiful #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav #HarGharTiranga flag hoisting ceremony in White Plains with the City of White Plains City of White Plains, Mayor Thomas M. Roach . Elected officials: Jamaal Bowman, Pete Harckham, Vedat Gashi, Shanae Williams were among those who came in person to celebrate and Shelly Mayer, Andrea Cousins and Robert Tubilio sent their wishes from the respective offices. Counsel for Community Affairs; Vijaya Krishnan joined us from the Consul General of India India in New York . Westchester county human rights commission director Tejash V. Sanchala also participated. Parks and recreation commissioner Wayne Bass helped from beginning to the end to make sure the program went smoothly.

 
Students of Adwitiya Kundu enriched the celebration with melodious patriotic songs and National Anthem during flag hoisting. Dr. Nalini Rau and her students danced Vande Mataram and praising mother India.

Many community leaders from various organizations; Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh , IndiaCenter OfWestchester Durga Temple AryaSamaj Hindu Temple of Trustates, BAPS temple, Cricket Club of Westchester, participated and celebrated. IACANA President Sivadasan Nair welcomed and introduced the dignitaries and the guests. White Plains Mayor along with other dignitaries hoisted the Indian Flag 🇮🇳. Dignitaries presented proclamation in celebration of the completion of 75 years of Independence of India. Anish Patel MCed the program. Thank you all for coming out in large numbers with patriotic spirit to celebrate despite the heat wave.
