CNCD team in Gujarat attacked during night operation

Two members of the Cattle Nuisance Control Department (CNCD) team received minor injuries after they were attacked by pastoralists during operation here, sources said on Thursday.
A case has been registered against unidentified persons by a Municipal Corporation Officer.
CNCD department officer Nilesh Glachar told the local media: "As per the High Court instruction, now stray cattle are being caught at night also. On Wednesday night, when the team was passing near Amul Circle, two persons approached the team and sprayed something in eyes of a driver and worker, following which they complained of blurry vision. They were rushed to a hospital for treatment."
The officer said the team was not able to identify the attackers, but the corporation has lodged a complaint against unidentified persons. Victims Dhirubhai Dorasiya and Merubhai Chavda have recorded their statements with the investigating police team.
Another officer Ravi has alleged that this is not the first attack. Of late, the attack on CNCD team has increased and they are stopped from catching cattle roaming on roads.
